Greetings! My name is Ahote Cooper and my website, www.americanindiancoc.org, has been honoring our First Nations heritage for nearly 10 years.
Several thousand visitors come to the site every day to learn about Native American history… but we constantly get requests to connect people with current events like pow wows, and landmarks such as museums or authentic craft shows.
So many people want to soak in the beautiful Native American culture and history but can’t find this organized online. We have received all the funding we need to expand our website into a first-class calendar of past, current and upcoming events!
We need nothing from your leadership except a willingness to share with us the details of any events or celebrations currently planned on your calendar. We will then add it to our national calendar so that tens of thousands of people see it every month!
We’d be willing to feature photos of your leadership, your past events, flyers or surveys for what you plan to do in the near future.
This is an amazing and free opportunity to grow the passion that exists for understanding our culture. And we can help our artisans find broader outlets for their crafts, their jewelry and beautiful music and dancing.

If someone in your leadership who is responsible for helping to spread the word about events and celebrations could fill in the information, we will make sure that events are publicized better and that people who can’t be there in person have a place to go where they can experience what they missed.
I’m so excited to start this project with you. Over my 30 years online I’ve never felt a greater opportunity to honor my ancestors than by helping to grow the public’s excitement for our ceremonies and history.
